Best Brunch Spots in Dallas

Some might say brunch is the most important meal of the day and always a weekend highlight. There are so many amazing brunch options in Dallas for getting together with family and friends. If you’re here for a weekend, how can you know which place is worth a visit? That’s where I come in. I’ve done my research on the most delicious brunch spots in town so you don’t have to! Here’s my list of the top five Dallas brunch spots.

1. MERCAT BISTRO

This continues to be one of the most quaint and special gems in town. Located in the Harwood District, Mercat Bistro serves up traditional French fare and is my go-to spot for brunch. Delicious specialty coffees, crafted brunch cocktails, a covered gazebo patio, and often times, live music make Mercat a shoe-in for a great experience. You’ll want to make a reservation as Mercat gets quite busy, and the 15 or so tables fill up quickly. Brunch is served Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Try the quiche which is in my opinion, hands down the best in town.

2. PIE TAP PIZZA WORKSHOP AND BAR

I know what you’re thinking…pizza for brunch? The answer is yes!  Offering much more than just killer pizzas, (don’t miss the smoked salmon breakfast pizza) Pie Tap makes my list of top brunch spots because of their consistently great food, service, drink specials and of course, patio! Visit the location in the Design District or off of Henderson—both offering a unique vibe—for brunch from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The $10 carafe of mimosa that comes in a chemistry flask is a must after a long night

3. THE RUSTIC

Nestled right in the middle of Uptown‘s hustle and bustle, The Rustic offers a memorable and laid-back dining experience. Sit inside or on the sprawling outdoor patio—home to some of the best live music you’ll find in Dallas. Their brunch menu (offered Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m to 2 p.m.) is equally impressive and perfect for sharing with friends. Try the Jam and Toast Brunch where you can enjoy a sampling of over seven brunch items served family style for just $16.95 a person. The Rustic makes brunching so easy, you don’t even have to think about what to order.

4. STIRR DALLAS

The stunning view of downtown Dallas from Stirr’s rooftop patio is worth the trip alone. Stirr offers a fun twist on American-style brunch featuring several classics executed in a modern way from giant house-made cinnamon rolls to banana foster crepes. They even offer a giant Moscow Mule that will set you back $150, but is perfect for keeping several friends hydrated and makes for an awesome photo opp. Get to this Deep Ellum hot spot early. Brunch kicks off at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sundays.

5. WATER GRILL

Located in the heart of McKinney Avenue in Uptown, Water Grill is a California-based restaurant that is fairly new to the area. Indulge in their incredible seafood dishes while relaxing in the elegant dining room or patio.  While certainly a more upscale brunch option, you can expect impeccable service and the quality of food is well worth the price. Plus, the house smoked Atlantic salmon and bagel dish will change your life. Brunch at Water Grill begins at 11 a.m. both Saturdays and Sundays.
