Have y’all heard the news?
The Oak Lawn neighborhood has a brand new neighbor and it’s Streets Fine Chicken!
This past week I was invited in to check out all that Streets Fine Chicken has to offer and trust me when I say, it is everything you hoped it would be and so much more.
With a funky and fresh interior, Streets offers up traditional Southern favorites that we all know and love but they’re done in such a way that it is casual enough to grab a quick lunch at but sexy enough for a date night.
Here are some of the highlights from my visit:
The “Little Devils” // Sriracha-spiked deviled eggs topped with shaved jalapeño
Chicken Salad Sandwich // Brined chicken tossed in herbs, spices, jicama, green apple and herbed aioli. Served on bibb lettuce between an Empire Baking Company ciabatta bun
Crispy Tenders // Brined crispy fried chicken tenders served with a biscuit (we got an extra one) served with your choice of dipping sauce and either fries or cole slaw. We got both the smoked maple dijon and Tabasco agave jam so we could try them and each were fabulous. The smoked maple dijon is like a grown up honey mustard and can’t be missed!
THIS is why we got an extra biscuit. I mean just look at this beauty!
Creamy Brie Mac N’ Cheese // Made with smoked Gouda and creamy Brie. Baked and then toasted to perfection!
Alas, we were just too full to try anything else but before we wrapped up our meal at Streets Fine Chicken, we vowed to return ASAP to try out the rest of the menu, as well as the cocktails, which all look equally delicious.
Whether you are in the neighborhood or not, Streets is a must try. It is a great addition to Dallas and truly something that everyone can enjoy!
