Now that the days of 100° are over, or at least we all hope they are, I’ve been on a serious mission to find great patios around town to enjoy this magnificent Fall we’ve been having.
On a recent trip to Addison, I enjoyed a visit to The Ivy Kitchen. Aside from having a super convenient location with lots of ample parking right off Belt Line and the Tollway, The Ivy Kitchen not only provides all of the food and beverage offerings for LOOK Cinemas, it also has a GREAT patio, full bar, solid happy hour and most of all, delicious food.
First off, let’s chat about this happy hour of theirs. It is hard to find happy hours that actually include the days that you want to drink, cough, Friday, am I right? Well, luckily for us, The Ivy Kitchen offers happy hour Monday through Friday from 4pm to 7pm! With beers as low as $3 and bites as cheap as $5, all there is to say is, “see you there!”
While I did indulge in some of the happy hour cocktail offerings, I strayed and also enjoyed items off of their regular menu, so let’s chat about those, too.
Mojito Infusion: Orange Infused Rum, Peach Liquor, Fresh Lime and Pineapple Juice with Fresh Mint
Smoked Brisket Queso: served with Tortilla Chips
Maryland Style Blue Lump Crab Cakes: 95% Crab meat served with house-made Old Bay tarter sauce (LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THIS!)
Iron Skillet Brussel Sprouts: with Smoked Bacon and Caramelized Shallots
Tenderloin Beef Stroganoff: Braised Beef Tips, Onions, Mushrooms, Zesty Sour Cream Reduction over Pappardelle Pasta
Southern Pecan Pie: House-made miniature Pecan Pie made with bittersweet chocolate served with candied nuts and vanilla bean ice cream
Are you still with me? All of these items look delicious but they taste even better!
After this recent visit to The Ivy Kitchenit is safe to say that it will be in regular rotation for me whether I can enjoy that awesome patio or not. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and that happy hour – sign me up!
